It all Began with an Idea!
There’s something about the feeling of stepping off a plane in a new destination—the rush of excitement, the hum of unfamiliar voices, the promise of adventure waiting just beyond the airport doors. Travel has been a part of me for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I took full control of my own journeys that I realized just how deep my passion ran.
It all started with a cruise at the age of five. I may not remember every detail, but I do remember the thrill of waking up each morning to a brand-new island, the ocean stretching endlessly beyond the ship’s railings. That trip planted a seed, but it would take years for it to grow into something bigger.
Fast forward to a life-changing trip to Spain. This time, a travel agent handled every detail—flights, hotels, excursions, and transfers. It was seamless, effortless, and nearly perfect. But something lingered beneath the surface. While I appreciated the ease of a well-planned itinerary, I found myself wanting more control—control over my flights, the flexibility to tweak my excursions, the ability to make last-minute decisions without feeling tied to someone else’s plan.
Then came another agent-planned trip. Everything was going smoothly—until I hit a snag at the airport after hours. The only way to fix it? Contact my travel agent. Except, at that moment, they weren’t available. Frustration set in, and I made a vow right then and there: never again. From that point forward, I would book my own trips, even if it meant sacrificing weekends to plan every detail myself.
What started as a necessity quickly became a passion. I discovered that I actually loved the process—researching destinations, comparing flight routes, hunting for the best accommodations, and curating experiences that made every trip unforgettable. There was an undeniable pride in executing a flawless itinerary, knowing that every moment was the result of my own careful planning.
And then came Iceland—a dream vacation. Standing beneath the Northern Lights, jet-lagged but exhilarated, I had a thought that would change everything:
“Maybe I could do this full-time.”
It was more than just a fleeting idea. It was a calling. I love to travel, I love to help people, and I love to plan. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Why not take what I love and turn it into something real?
And just like that, Jet Lagged Junkies was born.
What started as a personal journey has now become something bigger—a way to help fellow travelers experience the world without the stress of planning. Whether it’s offering curated lists through Navigator Service, personalized itineraries with Co-Pilot Planning, or fully customized trips through the Explorer’s Blueprint, my goal is simple: to make travel easier, more exciting, and completely unforgettable.
Because at the end of the day, it all began with an idea—and the belief that the best adventures are the ones we make our own.
